CDM Football Families,

This is a reminder to everyone of the need for your sons (and/or you!) to help the CDM Football Program by getting out and selling game sponsorship ($2,500 to $5,000) or program advertisements ($100 to $2,000). These sponsorships and advertisements need to be secured by early August in time for our upcoming football season.

Players are entitled to receive up to 50% of the sponsorship/ad sales revenue you are responsible for bringing in as a refund towards your “fair share” payment (so if you sell a $1,000 color page ad, you get a refund of $500!). If you don’t need the refund, we obviously would appreciate keeping every ad $ generated as we’re trying to balance our budget and avoid any future assessments if we fall short at the end of the season.

The football program has a large budget as the school doesn’t cover much of the expenses. The “fair share” payment that we collect on the front end only covers approx. half of our budget. Therefore, we really need your help to raise the shortfall!

We know from experience that the best way to “sell” these ads is through existing relationships…either to friends that own local businesses or to companies that you use the services/products of. Please ask your service providers as you “check out” if they would be willing to support CDM Football…they get great local advertising while supporting a good cause!

Attached are electronic copies of the various documents that were handed out at the parent meeting last month. These include: 1) letter to parents; 2) family ad form; 3) letter to businesses; 4) business ad form; 5) game sponsorship package flier (details what is included in the package); and 6) a list of prior sponsors and target companies to help you think of potential advertisers.

In addition to companies, please note that you can solicit people in your neighborhood to contribute to a one page “neighborhood ad”. This idea has worked great in the past and you can usually collect checks from $50 to $250 per family and list all of the families in one ad. We already have two families doing this together in the One Ford Road neighborhood! Please let us know if you would like to organize a similar effort for your respective neighborhood so we can make sure we have a coordinated effort on this as we only want one of these per neighborhood.

If a company does not want to do an advertisement, but instead is offering some sort of product/package, please let us know as we may be able to use it as a silent auction item at our Casino Night.
